 LEAGUE OVERVIEW
Start Date: Saturday, September 16th, 2023
Times: 10:00am- 4:00pm
Locations: Games are played in Joseph Lee Park ( behind Patterson High School) or Patterson Park, (see site for maps)
Season format: Teams will play a 7-week regular season schedule with week 8 starting the post season for teams that qualify. Teams that did not qualify for the post season, will play an 8th week consolation game. Week 9 will be slated completion of the post season.  
Makeup Games: Rained out games will be placed throughout the season and at the end of the season. Please follow the rain out date on the website when determining your game time/field location.

BSSC COED DIVISION DESCRIPTIONS

IF enough teams do not sign up for a certain division, those teams will be moved up to the next highest division
 
Extreme Social: Teams that have intermediate athletic skills and love to socialize. Sub Leagues of Extreme:
  Tastes Great: Teams with upper intermediate athletic skills.
  Less Filling: Teams with lower intermediate athletic skills.
Super Extreme Social: Teams that have basic athletic skills, but are highly skilled in socializing.
*Note: Super Extreme Social does NOT offer postseason games.

LEAGUE FEE
League Fee: $69.00 + $4.99 credit card processing fee per player

INCLUDED IN LEAGUE FEE
- (8) games including 7 regular season games, plus 8th Consolation OR Post Season game for all teams.
-Access to the MedStar Sports Medicine network
- Qualified referee and other staff trained by BSSC
- Fields lined with paint and cone set up for front/back end zone, midfield etc.
- BSSC current league T-shirt for each participant
- Field rental for each location and set-up of field equipment where applicable.  
- Participation in charitable and social events
- The opportunity to socialize with other BSSC members!

LEAGUE PARTICIPATION ELIGIBILITY
- All BSSC participants must be at least 21 years old before the season starts.
- A Division I athlete must wait five years before participating in the BSSC. This restriction does not apply to a non-similar sport (e.g., D I football player may play BSSC FOOTBALL, but not football.)
- Players who have participated in professional sports are not allowed in the BSSC at any time. This includes leagues that use "Professional" in their name. (e.g.Professional Women's Tackle League)
- Players/teams athletic ability may not exceed division definitions listed above (e.g., Social league ability may not play in the Extreme Social or Super X leagues).
- Teams will forfeit all games if these rules are broken or player(s) removed from the league.

LEAGUE RULES FOR FEMALE SUBS
- Throughout the REGULAR season, teams may use female subs ( From the same or lower league ) OR outside of the league ( must not exceed teams division).  
NO OUTSIDE SUBS CAN BE USED DURING THE POST SEASON.
- Outside female subs MUST report to BSSC staff, fill out release form and pay a $10 "sub fee".  This sub may only be used TWICE during the season. If they are used for a 3rd time, the league fee will be charged ( pro rated).
- Coaches should contact the BSSC by NOON the day before so an e-mail can be sent to the league looking for "in league" female subs.
NO SUBS ARE ALLOWED IN THE POST SEASON

BSSC 2023 FALL FOOTBALL GAME RULES

YOU CAN PLAY ON MULTIPLE TEAMS
- Because the BSSC is a social league, players are able to play for more than one team during the season.
- Players will pay (2) league fees for those sports and sign each teams roster.
- Players cannot exceed the athletic ability of the league descriptions on either team. Ex. A player in the Extreme Taste Great league, cannot play in the Super-X league.

BSSC NON-REFUND / LEAGUE CREDIT POLICY
By registering for a league with us you are agreeing to the following refund policies.
Refunds are not available if a league is cancelled or postponed, you will be issued credits. Refunds are not given if a player moves, change in work schedule, or any other non-league related changes. A player or team decision not to participate in a league they have registered for is not grounds for a refund.
Any situation beyond the BSSC's control such as: issues or complications related to Covid-19, inclement weather, field conditions, BCRP equipment malfunction, ect,players are eligible to receive a pro-rated credit if the season has begun. No refunds will be issued in this situation.
  If players or teams choose not to participate, we will issue a full site credit up to 2 weeks before the registration deadline date. If it is within 2 weeks of the registration deadline a Partial credit will be issued on a case by case basis.
In some cases, we may need to delay the start of the league. This may be due to teams needing more time to complete their rosters, venues having schedule conflicts and other various reasons. We reserve the right to delay the start of a league and will incorporate all planned games into the revised schedule to the best of our ability. Delayed start dates for the league are not grounds for a refund.
We always do our best to play all scheduled games in a season. If games have to be postponed due to weather, facility issues, or any other reason, we will do our best to make the games up at the end of the season at the same location. Games will be made up in the best possible form which may include, but not be limited to, multiple games in one night or games held on a non-league night of the week. Refunds will not be issued if a player is unable to attend the scheduled make up game.

- Every BSSC player should sign up for our text service when registering for the league.  Make sure you select "TEXT" in your personal online profile.

MED STAR SPORTS MEDICINE
- Although ALL BSSC sports are non-contact, as with all physical activities, people may occasionally sustain an injury. Should this occur, the BSSC has entered into an agreement with MedStar Sports Medicine to provide prompt medical care (for its members) at any one of the four Baltimore-area MedStar hospitals. These hospitals include: Franklin Square, Good Samaritan, Harbor and Union Memorial.
 What is MedStar Sports Medicine and how can it help you as a member of the BSSC ?
Your affiliation with the BSSC helps to get you "fast tracked" through the Emergency Department ONLY at the above participating MedStar hospitals.
MedStar Sports Medicine is NOT an insurance company, so it will not pay for any medical claims. Simply present your MedStar Sports Medicine ID card to the Emergency Room registrar (or tell the registration staff person you are a member of the BSSC) and their staff of sports medicine specialists will help to get you back in the game again!
